The Montane Men's Minimus Lite Waterproof Jacket is a super breathable waterproof layer that's perfect for running and endurance mountain days. Featuring a 20 Denier PERTEX® SHIELD fabric with a fully seam-taped construction, this jacket offers lightweight and packable protection when you need it most. A minimalist feature set helps to keep the weight down, and added stretch allows for an active, close fit. Lightweight weatherproof stretch performance

Lightweight, stretchy and highly breathable, PERTEX® SHIELD in the Minimus Lite Jacket provides waterproof and windproof protection in a 2.5 layer construction. Comfortable to wear, very soft to the touch and extremely stretchy, the fabric moves with you and allows for unrestricted dynamic movement when trail running or fastpacking. The fabric is constructed using highly abrasion resistant nylon ripstop, incorporating reinforcement yarns to provide durable resistance to tearing.

The fabric is incredibly breathable, providing excellent moisture management when working hard, helping you stay comfortable when moving fast. Being totally windproof keeps out the cold air and helps your insulating layers retain their heat for longer, perfect for on the move or when you stop to rest. A durable water repellent (DWR) finish allows the fabric to shed light rain and snow.

    The Only Jacket I Need

    This is my go to jacket. It is waterproof, lightweight, packable, dries quickly and fits well.

    I use it for cycle commuting, wet weather running, skiing and as a back up to pack in case of bad weather on day trips.

    I am very careful as I think it would tear easily but that is just the nature of its lightweight.

    Cycling the hood goes under my helmet when it rains, and for skiing I wear layers appropriate to the season.

    Crappy zipper. Not very waterproof.

    The jacket is not super waterproof compared to other jackets of the same weight and price range (RAB offers much better protection).

    The tiny plastic piece at the bottom of the zipper crumbled in less than 3 months of light use (I didn't really use it as a rain jacket since the protection was so bad). So the jacket is pretty much useless not and Montane does not offer zipper repair.

    Light and impressive

    This jacket is very light and impressive. It's on the upper end of what I'd be willing to pay but it's worth imo. Great for throwing in a big for any hike short or long.

    Montane Men's Minimus Lite Waterproof Jacket

    V lightweight but did the job. Tested it in a driving rainstorm. DRYZABONE. Very well tailored. Rolls up to nothing and have made it a permanent resident in my rucksack. Price is toppish, but Hey! Quality!
