Windproof, soft to the touch and 100% recycled. PERTEX® QUANTUM is constructed in a tightly woven structure to provide windproof protection and trap still air inside the jacket. This allows the down insulation to fully loft and retain its warmth.The fabric is lightweight, packable and soft to the touch. Finished with a non-fluorocarbon water repellent which allows the fabric to shed light rain and snow, allowing the jacket to provide weather protection in adverse conditions.The fabric is constructed using highly abrasion resistant nylon ripstop, incorporating reinforcement yarns to provide durable resistance to tearing, helping the fabric to withstand harsh mountain environments.

Mixed feelings
i’ve had two of the previous edition of this jacket and one of the edition before that. It’s a great jacket and as other reviewers have noted it’s just a slight redesign.
There are a few changes. Firstly, I think the medium fit is slightly slimmer around the body and the arms are less voluminous. This doesn’t pack into its pocket like the previous ones and the stitching across the front is different, but that’s just cosmetic.
The one difference I wasn’t keen on was the wrists. The previous versions had close fitting elastic wrists, but these are a lot looser. I’ve got skinny wrists , so this didn’t suit me. This seems to be a classic example of, if it’s not broke don’t fix it.

John's new jacket
Bought to replace a Prism Jacket I'd owned for sometime.
Undergone a bit of a redesign, so a slightly different cut and assembled differently.
The old one was the go to jacket, often stuffed in a rucksack as an after thought.
The new one has dropped into this role but also as my go to jacket for popping into town or down to the gym. Great insulation for those cooler days.
Very functional in outdoor settings and smart enough for the pub.
